Hello, Mini-Mounts families!! My name is Amanda Munson, and I’m thrilled to be your assistant principal at Stony Creek Elementary! I’m so excited to partner with you to ensure that your child feels loved and valued in Antietam. With all of us involved in your child’s education, they will become lifelong learners, develop their social-emotional skills to become fabulous friends, and love who they are, too!
My career in education began in Howard County, MD, where I spent ten years as a classroom teacher in a K-5 building. My experiences teaching kindergarten, third grade, and holding various leadership positions have fueled my passion for supporting students academically and socially. I am deeply committed to ensuring the success and well-being of every student at Stony Creek Elementary.
When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my husband and dog! We usually travel to visit family in Lancaster or Pittsburgh on the weekend. I am proud to say that I am one of 51 cousins in my family and an aunt to our niece, Davina. I am excited to welcome you to the Antietam family and look forward to a fabulous school year together!
