My name is Kaitlyn Yourkavitch, and I am happy to be a new member of the Antietam school community! I am from Havertown, which is just outside of Philadelphia. I attended The University of Scranton for my bachelor’s degree in International-Language Business. After graduation, I worked for my alma mater as an Admissions Counselor for three years. During that time, I earned a master’s degree in Human Resources Management. My position as an Admissions Counselor introduced me to the world of School Counseling. I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a master’s in School Counseling and I hold a certificate for grades K-12. I continued my experience in college admissions at Cedar Crest College and Alvernia University. In addition to my experience in higher education, I worked as a College Counselor for a private school in Malvern for three years. I am a member of the Berks Area School Counselors Association (BASCA). I look forward to helping and supporting all students on their middle/high school journey!

My name is Mark Carvalho. I am originally from Berks county, but am new to Antietam beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. Before coming to Antietam, I earned my M.Ed. in School Counseling from West Chester University, where I completed coursework in Group Dynamics, Trauma and Crisis Counseling and Intervention, Career Development, Human Development, and more. I also received additional training in the Education and Programming for Integrated Care (EPIC) Program. Before completing my M.Ed., I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lock Haven University and attended RACC for two years. I am a member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and Pennsylvania School Counselor Association (PSCA). I believe in every student’s potential to be successful in life, and am happy to support them along the way.
