Mr. Aaron Kopetsky
Vice Principal, Mount Penn Primary and Elementary Centers
Mr. Kopetsky received his undergrad diploma in Art and Elementary Education from Albright College. He also received his ESL (English as Second Language) certification from Cabrini College. He is currently enrolled at Alvernia University working towards his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.
Before joining the outstanding Antietam School District team, Mr. Kopetsky taught in the Reading School District as a 4th grade teacher and 4th grade ESL teacher at Lauer's Park Elementary. During his teaching career, he also coached Muhlenberg JV baseball for seven years then Wilson's high school JV baseball team.
Mr. Kopetsky loves being able to truly get to know the students and families in the community because of the District’s small size. One of the highlights of his job is working on the School-Wide Positive Behavior system. He collaborates with members of the staff to develop programs and initiatives to help motivate and reward students for their positive behavior. If you see one of your kiddos with a white or orange ticket, ask them why they received it, because the reason will be positive!
He is also inspired by the administration, teachers and staff at both buildings that make the Mt. Penn community a wonderful place to come to work every day. They are all about our students!
Mr. Aaron Kopetsky, Assistant Principal at the Mt. Penn Primary Center and Mt. Penn Elementary Center, welcomes you! This is Mr. Kopetsky’s third year in the District; during his first two years he served as the Dean of Students in the elementary building. This year, he transitioned into the role of assistant principal at both the Mt. Penn Elementary Center and the Primary Center, working alongside Mrs. Feyers, Principal.
